AI for workers’ compensation attorneys
General legal AI is good at case law. It doesn’t know what a PQME is, it doesn’t read PR-2s, and it can’t tell you what the file says on page 31. Voxium Legal is AI for the comp file: it reads every record, cites every finding to the page, drafts the six documents a California comp office produces most, and moves the file to the other side without a printer.
Built to be verified, not trusted
AI can be wrong. So nothing Voxium Legal says stands on its own: every line in a summary, chronology, grid or answer points at a document and page, and the citation opens the page. If the file doesn’t contain the answer, it says “not in file” instead of filling the gap. A citation it can’t match to a page in your file stays plain text. The output is draft work product for the responsible attorney’s review — it says so on every export.
What it does for the attorney
- Know the file before the conference. Case summary by body part, case grid of every evaluator, merged chronology with gaps flagged.
- Six California workflows: rating-inputs worksheet, objection to a med-legal report, deposition outline for the evaluator, settlement demand with cited findings, petition for reconsideration outline, SIBTF eligibility and SJDB voucher check — cited drafts in Word on your letterhead.
- Live lookups that send only the query, never your documents: State Bar attorney verification, California physician and health-board license status (DCA), PubMed and case law — shown as the source returned them, with a link and a date.
- Firm-to-firm transfer with access codes, expiry and an audit log; production copies with work product left out.
- Voxie, the assistant, by text or voice, answering from the case with page cites.
What it deliberately does not do
It does not compute the permanent disability rating — it gives the rater every input, by body part, with the page. It does not give legal advice and is not the attorney of record. It does not invent a license, discipline record, study or citation; when a live source returns nothing, it says so.
